POSITION SUMMARY (Main purpose of the job):

  • This position is accountable for all value streams in Supply Chain; Customer Care Supply Chain Planning, Distribution, Logistics and trade compliance, technical service & repairs, SC Master data.
  • Shape, develop & implement a comprehensive and compelling country specific Customer Care & Supply Chain Strategy aligning with the APAC overall and function strategy.
  • Talent Management built on engagement, inclusion and diversity and responsible for the acquisition, development, and retention of staff including selection, goal setting, feedback and coaching, performance management, rewards and recognition, and development planning.
  • Stimulate and support teams with regards to optimized and standard process and system excellence by application of lean sigma, Medtronic Operating System (MOS) and other continuous improvement & change management tools.
  • Program management for Strategic initiatives to ensure intended results in areas such as new acquisitions integration, inside sales development, e-commerce, new brand implementation, Net Promotor Score, …
  • Development & deployment of leading & lagging performance indicators harmonized with APAC SC
  • Achieve operating budget (AOP) by ensuring daily operational metrics, goals, appropriate staffing levels and leverage multi-skilled individuals to support several business groups at highest possible productivity levels.
  • Support region and business growth and generate EBIT contribution through innovations and continuous process improvements to enhance service, reduce costs and increase turns
  • Develop strong collaborative working relationships with the geography, global supply chain, cross-business partners and key functional areas to continue to build capabilities for the assigned supply chain organization that enhance core activities and planning and customer fulfilment.
  • Ensure that the Company’s agreed compliance, regulatory, business conduct and quality standards (including ISO13485) are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact

  • Establish Customer Delight & Intimacy by developing a customer focus culture and mindset, driving programs to improve customer experience such as contribution to Key Account Management programs based on account segmentation, differentiated service offerings, omni-channel capabilities and implementation of Net Promotot Score programs.

      - Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s Mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.

      - Comply with Medtronic’s Finance and Legal policies and procedures, respond to both Internal and External Audit enquiries in a timely manner, and ensure follow-up on Action Items to address Audit recommendations.

      - Observe all health and safety policies and procedures and take all reasonable care that actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of others. - Optimize utilization of warehouse and consignment stock to ensure high product availability and ensure that customer delivery needs are met.

      - Manage and optimize performance from DHL warehousing and logistics relationship to ensure achievement of the KPIs & ensure all costs associated in providing these services are kept to target & ensure supply chain policies, processes and procedures are followed and train as needed.

      - Ensure that physical distribution activities are performed efficiently and in compliance with quality guidelines, trade compliance and medical device good distribution practices.

      - In partnership with Businesses, understand the market needs for technical service, repair and field service in order to deliver repaired products on time and within the required quality standards.

      - In partnership with regional & global supply chain, establish effective a catalog of all required Master Data to be maintained within our systems for smooth supply chain operations; develop & maintain the appropriate reporting and auditing to ensure adherence to master data management process.
  • Establish Fit 4 Growth by achieving operating budget and drive Year over Year cost leverage meeting/exceeding company expectations. Drive process optimization efforts, including Medtronic Operating System, Lean & Six Sigma projects, to assure optimal processes and minimal waste. Ensure optimized Supply Chain solutions are delivered which meet or exceed the customer and market requirements. Ensure effective asset management.
  • Develop and implement Business/Channel Solutions around customer interaction & value add services and order fulfillment, last mile delivery & consignment services. Pro-active assessment of channel capabilities and capacity and continuous evaluation of further improvement of value proposition to customers based on account/product segmentation. In collaboration with Medtronic regional and corporate distribution, responsible for defining and implementing the best logistical model for each country/region.
  • Tertiary qualifications in science or business related discipline;
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Business Management e.g. MBA
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Supply chain management which includes transportation experience in multinational organization preferable within Medical Device Industry
  • 10+ years of people leadership experience, track record of building strong teams, coaching & developing employees.
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to lead cross-functional resources in a multicultural matrix environment
  • Experience in demand planning, distribution operations/logistics with demonstrable knowledge of advanced practices in Supply chain and inventory planning

  • Highly developed people management skills; ability to lead, coach, manage and motivate by example
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills. Able to communicate with ease at different levels of hierarchy & cross functional teams. Effective stakeholder management based on ability to work with organizational decision makers (internal/external) and excellent presentation skills
  • Can deliver a customer focused service to internal and external customers
  • Strategic thinking and shape capabilities and ‘drive a program home’
