We are seeking a Manager (Training Operations & Policy) to join the NYC/OBS family. The Manager (Training Operations & Policy) will focus on leading the administrative and operational support in ensuring the safe and quality conduct of OBS daily operations (local & overseas) through training, operational processes and policies by working with both internal departments and external agencies.

You will gain experience and hone your skills in:
  • Reviewing and monitoring operational efficiency of the Training Operations & Policy team;
  • Ensuring the team is up-to-date with the necessary operational processes and protocols to deliver a safe and quality operating environment;
  • Establishing the capability and capacity of Operations Room and Operations Team function;
  • Ensuring effective and efficient deployment of manpower and operational resources to ensure the best support;
  • Reviewing protocols and procedures governing day-to-day operations to ensure a smooth, safe and quality environment; and
  • Conducting OBS programmes.

Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in any discipline;
  • 3 years of operational experience in Outdoor Adventure Education setting will be advantageous;
  • Has had prior exposure as a member in the following:
  • Operational/Developmental training modules conduct; or
  • Organisational Events; or
  • New activity conduct/trials.
  • Able to maintain acceptable safety and operational standards amidst various demands;
  • Good writing, communication, and creative & critical thinking skills;
  • Possess a macro perspective of issues and an eye for details;
  • Able to adapt well and thrive in a dynamic environment;
  • Be a team player who is effective, resourceful, and takes the initiative in work.
