Position Purpose

Corporate Accounting team is responsible for the general accounting and ledger maintenance of the legal entities in Singapore including Cargill Asia Pacific Holdings (CAPH) which is the regional headquarter flagship company for Asia Pacific. This position will assist CFR Accountant to manage function and corporate allocation to AP countries, including generating function allocation data, maintaining service level agreement, collecting support for statutory and management allocations, handling queries. This position will also assist in certain financial reporting for US GAAP/ US tax/ SFRS, management reporting and any system implementation project. This position will also be involved in record and information management activities for the country. This position may need to working closely with Cargill Shared Services Center (CBS) in India and the rest of the team members to ensure that the deliverables, deadlines and responsibilities are met.

Principal Accountabilities

40% Assist in managing function and corporate allocation to AP countries, including generating function allocation data, maintaining/ updating service level agreements, collecting support for statutory and management allocations, handling queries.

15% Assist in ensuring accurate and timely reporting for management and statutory (US GAAP/ US Tax/ SFRS).

20% Assist in implementation of changes in functional cost allocation and/ or new system implementation.

20% Assist in record and information management activities and handling corporate credit card queries/ issues for the country.

5% Any other adhoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills

Required Qualifications

• Accounting degree/ACCA
• At least 3 years of experience in general accounting
• Good computer skills in Excel and use of GL accounting systems
• Flexibility in terms of timing is required especially during month/quarter/year end.
• Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Ability to collaborate with individuals within the team and other departments.
• Adaptable.

Preferred Qualifications

• JD Edwards skills is preferred but not essential
• Previous experience in working with shared services centers will be advantageous
• US GAAP and IFRS knowledge will be advantageous
• Knowledge in the area of statutory and management reporting will be advantageous
• Prior experience in big four accounting firm is preferred but not essential
