JOB SCOPE

Visa is seeking an experienced, passionate and high-energy Staff Software Engineer to manage a variety of development projects in the Loyalty Group. S/he will be an experienced hands-on technical engineer with experience of enterprise marketing and campaign management solutions. This position will be based in Singapore.

The Staff SW Engineer plays a key role in designing and developing technology solutions that deliver client value and lasting business impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the design, development, configuration and documentation of technical components including enhancements and modifications to deliver business functionality.
  • Manage Marketing Campaign development work in IBM Unica platform products
  • Design and develop an end-to-end marketing solution involving complex segmentation rules and delivery of marketing messages including Email, SMS and Direct Mail channels
  • Manage complex data structures, queries on large data model
  • Performance tuning of campaign segmentation logic and overall system flow to manage large marketing data sources
  • Collaborate with business and project teams to fully understand objectives, provide solutions, and deliver sound technical products enabling business results
  • Provide design and development methodology and standards. Provide guidance for other campaign developers
  • Ensure on time delivery of quality project with many stakeholders
  • Proactively identify opportunities for and contribute to improvements in standards and processes to support a continuous improvement approach
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with IT and business stakeholders and articulate ideas and recommendations clearly
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university. Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in Software design, architecture, and development
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in IBM Unica Campaign, Unica Distributed Marketing Modules
  • Experience in enterprise distributed marketing and marketing resources applications preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and developing a variety of campaigns, including:
    • Multiple input data sources.
    • Complex segmentation logic with scoring, custom macros and triggers.
    • Raw SQL queries.
    • Campaign performance tuning.
    • Multiple channels and offers with dynamic attributes.
    • Multiple waves.
    • Automated response processing.
  • Ability to establish campaign development standards and methodology
  • Experience with big data technologies, Hadoop, Hive, Spark etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of data architecture, data structures and relational databases, strong SQL skills.
  • Creative, high-energy, proactive problem solving skills with appropriate sense of urgency. Focus on customers and user experience.
  • Must work well in a fast-paced, changing environment.
